What are Smart Cards?
Smart Cards are plastic cards that have been encoded with specific information and are used to restrict access to areas or information. Access Control in some form is an excepted part of our daily lives, and the most common forms of access control being key cards and credit cards.

Electronic access control allows for the easy management of people or products through doorways or in facilities such as warehouses.

To implement access control at your premises you will require:

1. Validating devises- these are your cards and the card reader.
2. Devices that will physically lock and unlock the door and monitor its status.
3. A 'controller' to manage the transactions. This is the device that communicates with the card.
4. A means of 'programming' the system.


ID Cards

Id Cards provide you with a simple means of identifying exactly who can enter an area, frequency of entry or restrictions on entry.

You now have the flexibility to incorporate full colour into your cards. This means that you can not only have your logo on the card, but you can also add photographs and graphics to the card.

With the addition of a magnetic strip on the back of the card, you have the means with which to monitor the cards' usage.
These Id Cards can be used in:

warehouses

factories

manufacturing plants

sporting facilities

hospitals

schools

office complexes

government buildings
